Sour cherry liqueur
Wild cherries have always existed in many parts of the world. As a cultivated fruit, however, the cherry originated in the Caucasus region and was brought to Italy and later to the rest of Europe by the Romans.
Felsenriss Sour Cherry Liqueur is made by blending several cherry brandies. The blending of sour cherry brandy, wild cherry brandy and sweet cherry brandy results in a complex cherry aroma. This is rounded off by fine wheat distillate to create a particularly smooth finish. Added to this is a specially created cherry stone distillate, which complements a tasty bitter almond note, evoking memories of Black Forest cake. The Felsenriss sour cherry liqueur is refined with about 30% sour cherry juice and a specially composed sugar solution.
