Williams pear spirit
The Williams-Christ pear is a very special and highly aromatic type of pear, which was discovered in England as early as 1770. Since this pear already begins to spoil shortly after its full ripeness and it is therefore very poor storability, it is rather rarely offered in retail as a whole fruit. Much better known is its use as a raw material for spirits and liqueurs. However, the quality of the fruit, the growing conditions and above all the degree of ripeness also play a decisive role here.
